At De Bazaar in Beverwijk, a door solution was needed for the various halls and access routes—one that was not only reliable and space-saving but also matched the unique character of the market. Traditional overhead or roller doors didn’t meet the requirements: they took up too much space or blocked natural light, limiting both the appearance and functionality of the halls. The submarine base in Lorient has been modernized with Compact doors by Rolflex. This iconic World War II site has now received a contemporary upgrade. The modern Compact doors add a refined aesthetic and enhance functionality. Full Light panels provide natural light and privacy, while the wicket doors offer practical access without the need to fully open the larger doors. These innovations blend contemporary design with respect for the historical heritage of the base.

Several Compact sectional doors were installed in the Ecurie Saint Georges Reckendall indoor riding arena. The doors fit perfectly into the overall appearance of the indoor riding arena. Since the panels unfold directly above the door opening, the door takes up less space than ordinary doors. This allows for efficient use of the limited space. In addition, the door moves up and down very quietly and contributes to improved energy efficiency.

The municipal yard of Nieuwveen has set itself the goal of setting an example in the field of sustainable management of public space with this circular municipal yard. The unique building is built entirely of wood and has a varied finish of recycled materials. The elongated building has a reptilian shape with a head, body and tail. The striking facade consists of Accoya wood and slats of recycled wood with different thicknesses and colour tones.

This school year, VO Eemsdelta started as an educational village, in which three secondary schools are located. The project took more than 4 years and has been used by both students and teachers since the school year 2022-2023. The building was designed by de Unie Architects and has a floor area of almost 17,000 m2. Rolflex overhead doors were used in one of the buildings on the Eemsdelta college.

We recently installed 2 roller doors with door at Fermacell, manufacturer of gypsum fibreboards and other products. Both doors are made of sandwich panels in RAL 9006 colour and have a full vision panel at eye level to save space, the customer asked us to install the doors on the outside of the building. With this solution, the door does not take up any space inside the building, allowing the space to be used for installations, for example. The almost 8-metre-high door is fitted with storm sections to reinforce the door leaf.

With this water treatment plant in the Netherlands, the water treatment company Waterstromen B.V. together with the construction company Wopereis Staalbouw B.V. opted for the space-saving Compact roller door with door. The room closed by the Compact door is above a concrete silo. Various installations or machines are located in the room, which means that the installation space is limited. Therefore, the door should take up as little space as possible.

St. Andrews, Scotland is home to an impressive 7 hole golf course. This historic site is located in a region where golf has been played since the 15th century. In 1552 the current location was officially designated as a golf location. We are proud to be part of this story by supplying our space saving folding overhead doors.

A barn was equipped with a large, space-saving and quiet Compact sectional door. It is fitted with Full Vision panels to allow more light to enter the building. The anthracite gives the building a modern look.
