We recently installed 2 roller doors with door at Fermacell, manufacturer of gypsum fibreboards and other products. Both doors are made of sandwich panels in RAL 9006 colour and have a full vision panel at eye level. To save space, the customer asked us to install the doors on the outside of the building. With this solution, the door does not take up any space inside the building, so you can use the space for installations, for example. The almost 8-metre-high door has storm profiles to reinforce the door leaf.
Easy access
Thanks to the doors located in the roller doors at Fermacell, it is easier for employees to enter and exit the building without having to open the entire door. The advantage is, on the one hand, that the temperature in the building remains the same, which reduces energy costs. On the other hand, thanks to the wicket door, no one has to wait until the door is completely open or close.
Saving energy? No problem!
Sandwich panels have very good insulation, keeping the temperature inside the building stable. However, good insulation alone is of no use if you have to keep opening the roller door all the way to let someone in or out. This is where the wicket door has a great advantage. Because only a small part of the door needs to be open and you can close the door again quickly, heat loss remains limited.
Lack of space? Not with external installation!
There are a number of installations in the building, so external installation is the best solution here. Accordingly, we installed the entire roller doors with door on the outside of the Fermacell building. We provided it with a protective cover that protects the motor and the sensitive parts of the door from the weather. Inside the building, there are no rails, motors or other door parts, so that they can use the space optimally.
