High-speed door

The standard opening speed of a Compact folding door is approximately 20 centimetres per second. A four-metre-high door therefore takes about 20 seconds to open. And another 20 seconds to close. In some situations, it may be desirable to open and close the door more quickly. Think of fire stations, car parks or other situations where time plays a role to a greater or lesser extent. A high-speed door can also be useful in situations where energy saving is important.

What is a high-speed door?

A high-speed door is a door that opens faster than average. There are actually two types of high-speed doors: the high-speed roller door and the high-speed sectional door. A high-speed roller door is made of canvas and rolls up very quickly. This door is usually less suitable as an exterior door because it does not insulate well and is less secure against burglary.

The second type is the high-speed sectional door, of which the Compact door is an example. Although these doors open less quickly than high-speed roller doors, they offer the same insulation values and high-quality finish that you would expect from a sectional door.

• High-speed motor: RC500R with frequency control (slow start and slow stop)
• Opening speed adjustable up to a maximum of 60 cm/sec
• Closing speed 30 cm/sec
