The client had a special request for this project. The building contained several ripening chambers that needed to be properly sealed. The industrial doors had to provide good insulation and take up little space, as they had to be installed very close together. The Compact door proved to be the solution.
Good insulation
Maintaining the correct temperature is important in the fruit ripening process. Compact doors consist of 40 mm insulated panels and can therefore maintain temperature stability, especially when the cells are located inside a building.
Space saving
The industrial doors are located in a narrow space, with several ripening chambers on either side. A standard industrial door or sectional door is not possible due to its top rails, as the rails cross each other. The Compact door folds itself above the doorway of the ripening chamber and can therefore be easily installed in confined spaces.
Emergency exit
Because the doors are operated from the outside as standard, there is a risk of someone becoming trapped. As the cells are not opened very often, this can be extremely dangerous. For this reason, a window has been installed in the door that can serve as an emergency exit from the inside.

The Compact door is a custom-made door that proved to be a good solution in this case. The door is available in various sizes and colours.
