In 2008 the British Ministry of Defence ordered 100 doors for vehicle depots barracks at Catterick and Gloucester. The design of the depots required the installation of overhead cranes, fire extinguishing system and lighting on the ceiling and around the access ways. Considering all these features and needing good vehicle access they chose the Compact door.
In 2010 once again they opted for the Compact door. About 60 doors were supplied for the maintenance workshops of Camp Bastion in Afghanistan. These were installed in extreme weather conditions under the supervision of Rolflex Netherlands.
To increase natural light and provide visibility our Compact folding doors are available with windows. These are placed in the sandwich panels. The windows are made of double walled acrylic with a black polythene framework. The frames come in two versions: rectangular and oval. One window can be placed every linear meter.
An important advantage of the windows is that they can be placed even after assembly and installation of the Compact door.View
