Service Request

Despite the high quality  and low maintenance requirements of the Compact Door there is always a possibility of technical problems with one of our Compact Doors. Your local dealer is fully conversant with the Compact Door and able to solve any problem that could occur. Of course you can contact the Service Desk of Rolflex Nederland BV directly and we will be happy to help.   

Together with our local representatives we offer a quick and efficient service all over Europe. All standard spare parts are available from stock and custom made parts are available within a short time frame. 

Before you contact your supplier or our service desk you can check our list of "hints and tips". This will help you identify minor problems and find solutions. If in doubt, we advice you to contact your supplier or our service desk to avoid any potentially dangerous situations.

Before you contact your local supplier or the service desk please check this list. In case you are in doubt about any safety aspect of the Compact Door please do not hesitate to contact the Rolflex Service Desk.

Problem
Solution
The door will not close Make sure that the tracks are free of obstacles (such as brooms, buckets, pallets etc).
The door will not close Check if the fall safety device on the bottom panel is running freely.
The door will not open or close Check if the steel cables are in position on the pulley wheels and cable drums
If not, please contact the service desk.
The door will not close Check if the door panels, tracks, folding plates or steering arms are running freely and are not damaged.
If they are, please contact the service desk.
The door will not open or close. Is the power supply connected and the power plug in? If you check the power supply make sure this is done by a skilled electrician. 
The power is available but the motor is not running. Check the slack cable device. If the steelcable has lost its tension this device will stop the motor running. Disconnect the power supply first, then reset the slack cable device.

By using the emergency crank handle or the chain operator you will still be able to operate the door. The motor may start to run after using the emergency openers. If this happens it is most likely that the limit switches are incorrect. Please contact your supplier or the service desk.

The door will not open or close Check if the crank handle has been removed from the bottom of the motor. If there is a problem with the  emergency chain opener, make sure the pull chain (red/green) is in the right position.
The door will not open or close If you have a wicketdoor, make sure the wicketdoor is closed properly. There is an electrical safety feature that stops the door if the wicketdoor has not been fully closed.   
The door is opening while pushing the down button (or vice versa). Switch the phases, and the door should run in the correct direction.
The door is not closing automatically after pushing down. If there is a problem with the safety edge on the bottom of the door, please remember that the door will only close when the down button is held constantly. The door should still be operational. There is most likely to be a disturbance in the electrical wiring. Please contact your supplier or the service desk.
